Commercial Superintendent
Commercial Construction
New Wave Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to lead field operations on large commercial projects throughout Southern Utah. We offer a positive, team-first atmosphere where strong leaders are supported, respected, and trusted to deliver quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily field operations on commercial projects from mobilization through punch list and closeout
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, addenda, and project requirements; verify work is completed accordingly
- Build and maintain project schedules; coordinate subcontractors, inspections, deliveries, and short-term look-ahead planning
- Work professionally with owners, architects, engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and inspectors to resolve issues and keep work moving
- Monitor progress, quality, manpower, productivity, and budget impacts; identify risks early and communicate them to the project team
- Lead jobsite safety, daily coordination, documentation, housekeeping, and quality-control efforts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of commercial construction superintendent or equivalent field-leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience on large commercial projects and coordinating directly with owners, architects, and engineers
- Strong ability to read plans and specifications, understand construction sequencing, and identify conflicts before they affect the work
- Excellent scheduling, organization, communication, and subcontractor-management skills
- Strong budget awareness with the ability to track progress, prevent rework, and protect the project schedule and cost
- Safety-focused, detail-oriented, dependable, accountable, and able to solve problems calmly and professionally

Residential Construction
New Wave Construction is seeking an experienced Residential Superintendent to lead the day-to-day construction of quality homes throughout Southern Utah. We offer a positive, team-first atmosphere where strong leaders are supported, respected, and trusted to take ownership of their projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee residential construction from site preparation and foundation through final walkthrough, punch list, and homeowner turnover
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, selections, and project requirements; verify work is completed accurately and to New Wave quality standards
- Build and maintain project schedules; coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries, inspections, and short-term look-ahead planning
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, designers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the construction process
- Monitor progress, workmanship, material usage, change orders, and budget impacts; identify issues early and prevent delays or rework
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized jobsite while leading quality-control, documentation, punch-list, and warranty efforts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of residential construction superintendent or equivalent field-leadership experience
- Strong ability to read plans and specifications and understand residential construction sequencing, building codes, and inspection requirements
- Proven ability to schedule and coordinate multiple subcontractors, suppliers, and homes while meeting key milestones
- Excellent organization, communication, documentation, and homeowner-service skills
- Strong budget awareness with the ability to track progress, control waste, manage changes, and protect project cost and schedule

Experienced Pool Builder
Pools
New Wave Construction is seeking an experienced Pool Builder to join our Southern Utah team. We offer a positive, team-first atmosphere where skilled employees are supported, respected, and trusted to take pride and ownership in building high-quality pools.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate pool construction from layout and excavation through plumbing, steel, shotcrete, decking, finishes, startup, and final turnover
- Read and follow plans, specifications, equipment schedules, and construction details; verify dimensions, elevations, and equipment locations in the field
- Install, connect, start up, and troubleshoot pool pumps, filters, heaters, sanitation systems, controls, and related plumbing and equipment
- Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, and daily work so each pool stays on schedule and meets New Wave quality standards
- Communicate professionally with project managers, homeowners, inspectors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other crew members
- Maintain safe, clean, organized jobsites; document progress, protect completed work, and identify problems before they cause delays or rework
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of hands-on experience in the swimming-pool construction trade
- Ability to read and follow plans, complete field layout, and understand the full pool-construction sequence
- Working knowledge of pool plumbing, hydraulics, equipment installation, startup, water circulation, and basic troubleshooting
- Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with pool automation systems, equipment programming, and customer operation training is a plus
- Safety-focused, detail-oriented, dependable, physically able to perform construction work, and committed to high-quality craftsmanship

Equipment Operator
Sitework & Excavation
New Wave Construction is looking for a dependable, versatile equipment operator who takes pride in doing quality work. We offer a positive, team-first work environment where skilled people are respected, supported, and given room to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, rollers, and other sitework equipment
- Read and interpret civil plans, grading plans, elevations, slopes, and cut-and-fill requirements
- Lay out excavation and grading work using plans, grade stakes, laser levels, and basic field layout tools
- Perform excavation, trenching, fine grading, backfill, material placement, and compaction
- Coordinate with supervisors and crews, communicate field conditions, and help keep projects productive and on schedule
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years of demonstrated heavy-equipment operating experience
- Ability to read plans and independently lay out assigned portions of a project
- Strong knowledge of compaction, including moisture control, lift thickness, suitable materials, and density-testing requirements
- Working knowledge of drainage, trench safety, underground utilities, grades, and site elevations
- Dependable attendance, good communication, sound judgment, and a willingness to help the crew wherever needed
- Valid driver's license required; CDL and experience with GPS machine-control systems are a plus
